Bright colors, loud music and beer were the instruments behind the upbeat mood of the 34th Annual Castro Street Fair held on October 7 2007. Photographed here is Laura, who was born in the beautiful land of Kashmir but then traveled all over finally to settle down in San Francisco. She now works for a charity that helps kids and toddlers and thrives on the brightness of the colors.

The 34th annual Castro Street Fair on October 7, 2007, was again a fun filled liberated gathering of people. The mood was progressive, and although primarily around alternative expressions, there were a lot of small time traders making some quick sales.

One of the biggest fairs in the city, the 24th Folsom street fair began as the expression of freedom and liberation of the people with an alternative lifestyle. Having dressed up in colors and make ups, the ladies flaunted their appearances in front of the hundreds of photographers. These two ladies took a moment off to pose for my camera too.

I have been posting a few unique images from the San Francisco’s 24th annual Folsom Street fair held last weekend. Amidst the hundreds of parade goers, participants, leather aficionados, there were the hoteliers and caterers that kept the energy going. With abundance of food, grilles and chilled beer, the restaurateurs had a lot to offer.

Colors, make-ups, hair styles, leather and fantasies all came together at this year’s Folsom street fair. The day was gorgeous golden and the wind was just enough to keep the atmosphere from getting hot. Young ladies in fancy dresses and flaunting their Japanese style fashion umbrellas lined up for the photographers.
