New York City and especially the tourist cramped Times Square and Broadway are full of local sellers and hawkers selling anything from fancy bags to duplicate watches. Discounts may not be attracting much shoppers any more. With people being used to a higher cut of over 50% for most of the year, shops giving out smaller discounts are finding very hard to attract new business.
