Musicnation.Com – copycat & desperate to survive?

I have had my pictures copied by many people. Most of them had either the courtesy to either let me know or to refer to my post. I was really shocked & rather insulted when http://musicnation.com/ (MusicNation), thought it wise to send me a link of a place where they have just renamed one of my images.

To add to the whole act of a desperate crook, they even went ahead and wrote obnoxious statement on Craig. No wonder they had no reference to what they were writing. Here is a link to Craig’s image on the post on Music Nation – http://mnmedia.musicnation.com/Blog/2008/080124/oldmanclarinet.jpg

I could think of the people behind this website of Musicnation.com to be no less than cheap and have no respect for either the music or the musician. Here is the post I am referring to – http://musicnation.musicnation.com/blog/2008/02/street-musicians-part-ii & the last image on that post is that of Craig.

They don’t realize that we could easily make a watermark on these images. However, we do not do that so that the readers get to see the image at its best!

In between the 16th and the 24th on Mission in San Francisco there are some amazing murals – some well maintained and depict a story of deep social relevance. Like the importance of education, the importance of a family in a child’s life, the social benefits of a religion et all.

Right across from the Powell BART station, you could see a bright fluorescent banner reading “Jesus Christ Loves You”. The gentleman bearing the sign spends the whole day pacing along Market and Powell.

San Francisco Tram Cars

Back to the tram cars! While I was following this tram car on foot, it’s passengers were nice enough to give me their smiles. It’s true they were enjoying the ride on an “open sleigh”. If you have ever noticed, they still change tracks manually with two people tugging and pushing the cart from one track to another at the end of one leg of its route.

San Francisco – just like the old days!

You could see the Tram cars run in the busy and over crowded streets of San Francisco, CA. More appealing to tourists, the locals also catch a nifty ride often. They have maintained the cars well and even the ways they reverse their tracks – that is still manual. Two operators haul and tug and swivel the car to change directions.
