Once a celebrity commented that if she were to suffer, she’d rather be rich and suffer than being poor. So what is worse than being poor?
I had met someone before in downtown San Jose, who was apparently a street dweller, but claimed to be a “beggar by choice”. I do not quite understand. Some things come free with being a beggar – poverty, deprivation, hunger and probably misery. So what would lead a person choose such a lifestyle. Later, I have met several such people, who all by choice have …

This image is part of the larger collection on San Francisco Street Artists Project featured on Photoduniya.com of Jonathan Dyer. He plays the saxophone in various clubs and joints in the downtown while I have the occasional opportunity of taking his images while he plays at Powell.

This is an update posting for photoduniya.com. If you have read the current projects, San Francisco Street Artists (0507-001) is almost coming towards the end of the schedule. So far we met close to fifteen street artists from various parts of San Francisco, from roll and roll groups like that of the Ferocious Few to lone artists like Jonathan and Chen.

Update: San Francisco Street Artists (0507-001) on Photoduniya.com
I did almost five artists and groups today in San Francisco and made some good shots. I like to shoot in natural light and like the motion that the flash light highlights.
Here is a shot of Jonathan Dyer. I have written about him before as an update to this project. I had mentioned before that he has an unique style and you could literally feel him spelling out the tunes. Here is one of Jonathan playing on Market.

Update: San Francisco Street Artists (0507-001) on Photoduniya.com
Chelsea and Whitney were conjuring up Celtic tunes on their violin and guitar. You would be taken by their simplistic approach, heart warming smile and the innocence they over poured into their music.
They were playing at the busy Macy’s corner and were raising funds for a christian missionary. I had photographed them for an hour and all the while I was there, they played with the same enthusiasm, smile and love for the tunes.
Some of these images will be uploaded onto Photoduniya.com shortly.
