Hollywood Musician – guitar player

While in Hollywood for a couple of days during Thanksgiving, I met a few musicians who were playing the the streets. Shown here is a vocalist and guitar player from Universal Studios.

Also flocked along Hollywood Boulevard were tens of rappers who made their own recordings and sold discs to the tourists. Not that I have seen many of the tourists buy any, but the sheer number of sellers and the fact that this remains their primary living makes me believe that there are quite a few customers. Many are plain agents – far from the art and music and deep into the commercial trades on Hollywood streets.

I was one of the tourist, I bought one rap CD right in front of the Chinese Theater. I don’t like rap and will probably never listen to the CD, but it kinda happen, it was more like begging than selling.
    “hey, do you like rap?”
    “no”
“I recorded an album, do you want to hear (handing earphones), I’m really good? Do you want to buy my album? Just give me 5 or 10 bucks.”
I gave him 5, he goes:
    “Thanks, how about 10?”
