On our way from Tahoe this weekend, I found plenty of opportunities to shoot into the rear view mirror for the picture-in-picture effect. The timing was bad – it was 3′o clock in the afternoon, the sun was bold and merciless, right on top and the road was white as snow. But I could not pass on the opportunities to park on the shoulder and shoot a few shots of cars in my mirror.

Surprisingly, this wasn’t shot with a Nikon! I used a 5MP Samsung point and shoot and then …

I was wandering about downtown San Jose a few weeks back, with my camera slung on my shoulder, trying to get some “people” shots when I met this gentleman.

Wave surfing is a popular sports and there is no dearth of enthusiasts of all ages. I have had numerous shots on my Velvia™ but now that I have a digital kid, I can readily post some of them here. And this was from the first couple of days of buying the D200 while I was testing the Nikon 80-400 VR™ with the Kenko 300 PRO DG 1.4™. The VR worked great, the focus lock was desperately accurate with no hunting, the saturating was stunning without a polarizer or even …
