San Francisco street artists – candid portraits

He did not want to be named, so I will go with the anonymous. He plays an oriental 2 stringed instrument called the Ehru. The Chinese have played and perfected this instrument from as early as 100 B.C.  Played much like the violin, the Ehru however has a unique construction. The sound-box used to be made of serpent skin in its original construction, which gave the instrument its distinctive color.

The gentleman did not mind my taking taking his pictures and writing about him, but he wished to remain unnamed. Seen here is another music enthusiast exchanging notes and tunes verbally!
