San Francisco street musician - violinist Kippy

The busy Market street had a different note to itself this Sunday. The melody of violin. The instrument is of eastern origin, probably Mongolian but was very popular in the ancient middle eastern civilizations. The name violin comes from the Greek word vitula. The western world popularly knows this instrument as the fiddle.

Kippy has been playing the fiddle for over 30 years now. His instrument could be as old, now tied up with an amplifier for playing. Originally from Texas, Kippy has been a street performer for over 2 decades now. Playing mostly on Market and the Embarcadero, Kippy also plays in various clubs, gigs and concerts.
